Prometheus is a well-rounded science fiction film that consists of many twists and turns that are bound to keep you constantly guessing. The film, Prometheus is set in the last 21st century and focuses on a group of spaceship crew members who boarded a spaceship, Prometheus, as they go on search of the origins of humanity. The film is directed by Riley Scott and stars a few big names. The stars include Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron.
The acting and visuals in the film are fantastic and the plot is able to grip you and pull the audience into the story line. The cast could not have been better picked for the roles they were intended to portray. It must be said that all the stars gave outstanding performances.
The film begins in 2089, with a team of archeologists who discover a star map that matches several others that relate to ancient culture. The plot builds up to pinnacle moments and has a spectacular climax. Prometheus provides a plot, which will leave the audience pondering and provide a great deal to discuss after the film has ended.
The spaceship lands in a distant world in 2093 and the discoveries begin. The crew is informed of their mission to find the engineers and there are many discoveries made as well as mistakes that end up costing many crew members their lives.
The plot of Prometheus revolves around the discovery of the engineers, in an artificial structure that the spaceship landed near. The trouble begins when a dark liquid begins leaking from cylinders, which were discovered and come into contact with worm like creatures on the ground.
As the crew members become fewer and fewer as a result of them dying or getting killed, the plot begins to thicken. Later we discover that the engineers that were discovered had originally planned to destroy the Earth 2000 years prior to the discovery. As a result of this not occurring, we are made aware that something went terribly wrong during their preparation for such an event.
The ending of the film was plotted out thoughtfully, as it shows the audience just enough to leave us hungry for more. However, it is reassuring enough to inform the audience that the follow up sequel, will provide all the necessary answers. Although the audience may walk away at the end of the film with many questions, it is exactly what was intended by the director.
This film has been extremely popular and has generated a great deal of income as well as a broad range of viewers.
